Daniel Radcliffe recently addressed speculations about him taking on the role of Wolverine in the superhero series. The 34-year-old actor responded to these rumours during a Vanity Fair lie-detector interview while discussing his fitness journey and debunking various hilarious speculations.
Daniel puts Wolverine rumours to rest
Addressing the Wolverine rumours, Daniel Radcliffe clarified his stance, saying, "But no. No Wolverine. Flattered, but no." This statement has quashed any ongoing speculation about him taking over the iconic superhero role despite the buzz generated by his fitness transformation.
How did the rumours begin?
Daniel Radcliffe's dedication to fitness left fans surprised when they witnessed his buff physique in the Season 4 finale of Miracle Workers sparking speculations about his potential role as Wolverine. During the same interview, the Harry Potter actor explained the reason behind his physical transformation, stating, "Yes. I got buff because I am obsessive, and I want to… You've seen my parents, they're like insane fitness people. So that's just been passed on."
If not Daniel, then who will play Wolverine in Deadpool 3?
Hugh Jackman, who has long portrayed the clawed mutant, is set to reprise his role in Deadpool 3, scheduled for release in May 2024. Jackman will once again share the screen with Ryan Reynolds in this highly anticipated movie. In September, Jackman and his former wife, Deborra-lee Furness, announced their separation after 27 years of marriage. Several BTS photos from the set have also gone viral.
Daniel Radcliffe on "absurd claims" about him
In addition to the Wolverine rumours, Daniel Radcliffe shared other humourous speculations that he has come across about himself. He recounted various absurd claims, including that he had the UK Special Air Service (SAS) walk his dogs, had special beer brewed by monks in a Belgian monastery, and even had an assistant hold his scripts in a mirror so he could read them while having makeup done, despite the impracticality of reading mirror writing.
