Matthew Perry breathed his last on October 28, Saturday. The Friends star was found dead from an apparent drowning in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home. He was 54. Among the many heartfelt tributes for him, his ex-fiance Molly Hurwitz also penned a note for the deceased, describing him as a ‘complicated man’. 

Molly Hurwitz recalls Matthew Perry leaving a ‘profound impact’ on her 

On October 30, two days after the passing of the FRIENDS star, his ex-fiance Molly Hurwitz, who is a literary manager. She shared a silhouette of the actor and wrote, “He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was. And he really was very talented.” She recalled the time when FRIENDS reunion was about to be filmed. She wrote, “As the Friends reunion was approaching, we rewatched the show together. “F***, I was so good!!!…See what I did there???” We rewound and studied scenes. Our respect and appreciation of humor is something that connected us. Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical.“

She went on to talk about how she knew Matthew in a way no one in the world did. She claimed that he caused her pain, like no one else. In the note she wrote, “But, I obviously knew that man in a very different way, too. While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I’d never known. No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I have tremendous gratitude for that, for everything I learned from our relationship.”

Matthew Perry’s struggle with alcoholism is much known to the world. The actor has even recounted his struggles with addiction in his memoir. In the note penned after his passing, his ex-fiance also mentioned Alcoholics Anonymous, an agency that helps people who suffer from alcoholism. She wrote, “I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Al-Anon, an invaluable resource for those who love someone struggling with this destructive disease. Matty, I feel relief that you are at peace.” The literary manager was in a relationship with Perry from 2018 to 2021
