Tessa Thompson aka Valkyrie reveals 'Thor: Ragnarok' sequel has been pitched

Just a week ahead of the release of the much-anticipated 'Avengers: Endgame', actress Tessa Thompson revealed that Marvel Studios is planning to make a sequel of 'Thor: Ragnarok'.

Just a week ahead of the release of the much-anticipated 'Avengers: Endgame', actress Tessa Thompson revealed that Marvel Studios is planning to make a sequel of 'Thor: Ragnarok'.

The actress who plays Valkyrie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and first appeared in 2017's 'Ragnarok' said that the follow-up venture has already been pitched by the production house. She further revealed that the director of the previous venture Taika Waititi is set to return as the helmer of the project.

Recently, in a recent interview, the actress reportedly said, "I don't know how real that Intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened, I think the idea is Taika would come back," (PTI)

'Thor: Ragnarok' starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, and Tom Hiddleston in the lead was the third part of Marvel Studio's 'Thor' film franchise. The film narrated how Thor, who lost his hammer, obtained a new more-powerful weapon and teamed up with Hulk and Valkyrie to save his home, Asgard, from his sister Hela, the goddess of death.

Thompson, 35, who made her debut in MCU with the film, will now reprise his role as Valkyrie in Marvel Studio's upcoming venture 'Avengers: Endgame' which is all set to release next week.

'Endgame' which is a direct sequel to 'Infinity War' from the last year, is all set to release in India on April 26, 2019. The film is the 22nd instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is the fourth and the last venture of the 'Avengers' franchise.

The flick brings together all the Marvel superheroes, played by actors including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Jeremy Renner, Evangeline Lilly, Jon Favreau, and Paul Rudd. In fact, Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson who debut in MCU as Captain Marvel recently will also be a part of the film. Meanwhile, actor Josh Brolin will also resume the role of Thanos in the upcoming venture following 'Avengers Infinity War'.
