Comedian Trevor Noah has been touring in prominent locations in India as part of his Off The Record tour. Recently, Noah had to cancel his shows at the Bengaluru’s Manpho Conventional Centre since the technical difficulties got the better of him. However, the comedian has recently performed in Mumbai, and his new material includes jokes about his experience in Bengaluru.

Trevor Noah details how bad the Bengaluru venue was

One of the attendees of the Trevor Noah show in Mumbai detailed exactly what Trevor Noah joked about during his Mumbai show. As per a video from the show, the former Daily Show host said, “Now, usually when I go to do a show backstage what happens is there will be like an entrance that you walk into and then you're in the venue and then you emerge into a backstage area before you come and perform.” He added, “Here, we walk through an alley that was full of dogs, half of which were in cages. I’ve never prepared for a show where the backstage area is dogs in cages.” See the post below.

Noah explains why he cancelled the shows

Noah had previously taken to X (Twitter) to apologise for cancelling his show in Bengaluru. He’d pointed out how there was “literally no way to do a show.” Coincidently, he detailed why the venue itself played a part in making it impossible to do a show. He said at one of the moments, “The room was like a semi-permanent tent and everyone was seated in the room with no screens and there were giant air-conditioners blowing hot air.” After his performance in Mumbai, Noah has concluded his stint of shows in India.
