Who is Meagan Good, woman who stood by Jonathan Majors during assault trial

Jonathan Majors has been convicted of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. The trial, which began in November, came to an end on Tuesday, December 19. The jury found the Marvel star, 34, guilty of violence against Jabbari in Manhattan, New York in March earlier this year.

Throughout the trial, Majors was accompanied by his current girlfriend Meagan Good who was seen shedding a tear when the actor was declared guilty. Majors' court appearance with Good saw them holding hands and putting up a strong front together.

Who is Meagan Good?

Meagan Monique Good is an American model and actress. She started her career as an extra on TV shows like MD, Amen, and Doogie Howser. At the age of thirteen, the actress got her first role in the comedy Friday (1995).  Her first public recognition came from the 1997 movie Eve's Bayou.

This was before her being chosen to play Nina in the sitcom Cousin Skeeter on Nickelodeon. Good became even more well-known after starring in the films Deliver Us from Eva, Roll Bounce, and Stomp the Yard. She played Joanna Locasto, the main character in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, in 2012 and portrayed Joanna Locasto, the lead character on the NBC drama series Deception.

Furthermore, Good has appeared in multiple music videos for artists such as Tyrese, 50 Cent, Memphis Bleek, Imajin, Isyss, Lil' Johnny, and Tyrese.

Meagan Good supports Jonathan Majors amid assault trial

After Majors and Good were seen going on a date at the Alamo Drafthouse in May earlier this year, PEOPLE confirmed the couple was dating. The information was released after the actor virtually appeared in court the week after his arrest and the charges of harassment and assault.

She accompanied Majors to a hearing at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City in June. As they entered and left the courtroom, they were pictured holding hands. Good made her second appearance in the Marvel star’s domestic abuse case in August, Majors and the actress were seen holding hands outside the Manhattan Criminal Court once more.

The couple made their first public appearance at the eighth annual Black and White Gala of the Congressional Black Caucus, which was co-hosted by Good and Larenz Tate in Washington, D.C.

As the trial went on, Good kept making appearances, always demonstrating her support for the actor. Following a two-week trial, Majors was found guilty of misdemeanour assault in the third degree on December 19.
