Recently, in an interview with Elle, the actress got candid about stardom which has led to a lack of privacy in her personal life. In the interview, the Euphoria actress opened up about how the increased visibility has made it difficult for her to keep her relationship out of the public eye.

Zendaya reflects on fame, stardom

When Zendaya was asked if fans considering her relationship with Tom Holland adorable makes it earlier for her to accept the intrusion in her life while talking about a boat ride photo of her with Tom from their trip to Venice, Zendaya said, "Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public." "I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share," she added. "It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now."

The Euphoria actress further reflected on the moment in her career when she understood that fame changed her lifestyle. She said, "After the last Spider-Man and the last season of Euphoria, there was a visceral change." Zendaya mentioned that earlier she could get away with going places. "But in Boston [last spring], I would end up going right back home, because it was really overstimulating," she added. "Everybody would go hang out at a bar or something, and I’d be like, 'I'd love to, but I think I could ruin everybody’s night. Because it’s just not going to be fun once I’m there.'"

Zendaya continued to test the boundaries of her privacy during a recent trip to Venice where she was photographed by the shutterbugs with her dog. She revealed that it was difficult for her to do normal activities without any eyes on her. She proclaimed, "I had this idea of, like, I can walk around Venice. No, I can’t."
