What is the plot of Jailer?

In Jailer, Rajinikanth plays a prison warden named Muthu 'Tiger' Pandian. He has a network of old friends, who help him kill the bad men who threaten his family. Goons, led by Varman (Vinayakan), kidnap Muthu’s son Arjun (Vasanth Ravi), also a cop, and threaten to behead Arjun’s grandson Rithvik (Rithvik Jothi Raj). It is then that Muthiu goes on a killing spree as he seeks revenge.

At the box office, Jailer has minted over Rs 600 crore worldwide, emerging as Rajinikanth's biggest blockbuster after 2.0. It seems like the movie's early OTT release comes after an HD version of the film was leaked online on piracy sites.
