Anupam Kher, Boman Irani starrer Khosla Ka Ghosla to get Kannada remake, confirms director
Khosla Ka Ghosla, the cult classic 2006 comedy, is all set to be be remade across three regional languages to accrue pan-India viewership for the story.
Khosla Ka Ghosla, the classic comedy film with Anupam Kher and Boman Irani in the lead is all set to be remade. However, the film will not just be getting remade once, but three times over. The original film's producer also reflected on how the film, despite being more than a decade old, has a theme that is still very relevant and relatable to the Indian masses.

Khosla Ka Ghosla to be remade in three regional languages
As per a Variety report, Khosla Ka Ghosla will be remade in Kannada, Telugu and Marathi. While the original Khosla Ka Ghosla was directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the Kannada version will be directed by Shuddhi fame Adarsh Eshwarappa. The Telugu version of the film is all set to be helmed by Vinod Anantoju, known for Middle Class Melodies (2020) and the Marathi version of the film will be directed by Kedar Shinde, best known for directing the wildly successful Baipan Bhari Deva (2023).

Speaking to Variety, Khosla Ka Ghosla producer Savita Raj Himerath reflected on how property fraud is something that is still rather prevalent in India. A light-hearted contemporary take on the same will be appreciated by audiences. He said, "(Building a home) is relatable to a pan-India audience as property fraud is paramount...there is a need to address the issue, entertain and monetise the creative rendition."
The revival directors weigh in
Adarsh Eshwarappa expressed his excitement at helming a "cinematic gem" to give it a more contemporary and sensibility-specific feel. Vinod Anantoju on the other hand reflected how the character of Khosla reminds him of his own father. Kedar Shinde on the other hand affirmed that the core theme of the story is something that has not only continued to be relevant, but will continue to be so, even in the future.
