Toxic: Fighter Actor To Make His Kannada Debut With Yash Starrer
Yash has been busy with the shooting of Toxic since it went on the floors on August 8 in Bengaluru. The movie is being directed by Geetu Mohandas.
Yash has begun with the shooting of his next highly anticipated movie Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups. In a recent update, the makers welcomed a Bollywood actor onboard and shared that they are looking forward to creating something "amazing" together. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres next year.
This Fighter actor joins Yash starrer Toxic
Akshay Oberoi, who has been in the news owing to his performance in Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter, has bagged a Kannada movie with Yash. The actor took to his Instagram Story to announce his next project and shared a photo of the hamper accompanied by a note that read, "Dear Akshay, Welcome to the team. We're thrilled to have your talent and energy on board for this project. Looking forward to creating something amazing together!"
He didn't reveal what role he'll be playing in the movie but a source close to the production shared that his addition to the cast will bring an "exciting" dynamic to the movie.
What else do we know about Toxic?
Helmed by Geetu Mohandas and bankrolled by KVN Productions, the movie went on the floors in Bengaluru on August 8 after muhurat pooja. The ceremony was attended by Yash's family and Toxic crew members. Earlier this week, Akshay reportedly joined the cast at the shooting location and began the filming. The movie is touted to explore the dark world of the drug mafia in the 1950s. Yash is expected to play the role of a drug lord. The movie will hit the theatres on April 10, 2025.
Akshay was last seen in Ghuspaithiya, co-starring starring Urvashi Rautela and Viineet Kumar.
