Shinde On working with an all-female crew

Kedar Shinde revealed  that the majority of the film's crew comprised women. "They are all highly professional and great actors. And moreover they all trusted me also with my work and what I can do. Moreover I feel that if a woman can run a household then running a film for them is not a big deal. These women have gotten what they were waiting for for years now," said the director.

Shinde feels content is the reason behind rise of Marathi films

Marathi films have been garnering a fair deal of attention in recent years. Some blockbusters include Pawankhind and Ved. Talking about this, the director said the content is the key to success. “The main reason is the content. The rich literary culture of Maharashtra, provides a solid foundation for crafting compelling narratives,” added Shinde.

Shinde reveald why he Chose Marathi cinema over Bollywood

Kedar Shinde also shared his experience of working in Bollywood and explained why he decided to focus on Marathi films. He directed the film Toh Baat Pakki! (2010) but its performance at the box office was disappointing. “I was just there to direct the film. What happens in the Hindi film industry is that if the film doesn’t work then no one will ask anything of you ever again. So that is why I decided to do my work in Marathi only which I had been doing since long," said Shinde.

He further went on to say that going foward he exclusively wants ro make films that align with his views. “So I started doing TV shows and did quite a few like Tera Kya Hoga Alia and Kya Haal, Mr. Paanchal? And now I want to do work that aligns with my views and thoughts. And if someone comes to me with some project then I am always open to doing great work,” said the filmmaker.
