The K-pop idol Chung Ha departed from her ex-agency MNH Entertainment in march earlier this year. After almost seven months of silence, the singer signed with Jay Park's label MORE VISION. When she launched her new social media handles, the issue of Chung Ha losing her previous handle and fandom name to her ex-company came into the spotlight.

Chung Ha to start afresh under new label

MNH Entertainment's announcement of Chung Ha's departure may have seemed cordial, but for some time, the soloist's fans have been unhappy with the label. This unhappiness is a result of what is believed to be unjust treatment Chung Ha received while she worked for the company. It appears that supporters of her former label may now have even more justification to voice their displeasure.

Millions of people follow Chung Ha's former social media accounts, but MNH Entertainment has not granted access to them to the singer after her exit from the company. This includes her Twitter following of over 300k and her Instagram following of over five million. She was forced to re-register on these platforms under new handles. There are currently 130,000 followers on her new Instagram account and 14,000 followers on her Twitter account.

Chung Ha loses royalty of her previous work

She also doesn't have access to her YouTube account, which suggests she won't get paid or receive royalties for any of her previous music videos. Her current account, which was created less than 24 hours ago and only has one video so far, has just 3.5k subscribers, compared to her previous account's 1.46 million subscribers.

Chung Ha is now under MORE VISION. Jay Park recently launched this business venture after leaving his positions as CEO and Founder of the previously well-known labels AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC. Additionally, Honey J, a dancer and choreographer, soloist Jessi, and HolyBang, a dance crew that made an appearance on the first season of the Korean dance reality show Street Woman Fighter, are managed by More Vision.
