HYBE introduces new girl group KATSEYE after the global auditions of ‘The Debut: Dream Academy’

HYBE, the parent company behind BTS, has finally announced the final lineup of its new girl group on Saturday, November 18. The group has been named KATSEYE. HYBE has selected six girls from four different countries to mark their debut in the South Korean entertainment industry.

Who are the members in the new girl group KATSEYE?

During the final round of its global audition named The Debut: Dream Academy, HYBE selected six members for KATSEYE girl group. The global audition was held in Hollywood, United States. The new girl group under HYBE consists of girls from different origins, take a look:

The first member is Sophia Elizabeth Laforteza. She was ranked at the first place and is a Filipino artist.

Next is a South Korean singer named Jeong Yoonchae. She has previously auditioned for CJ E&M and wa ranked fourth in the final results for the KATSEYE group.

A photography model from Zurich, Switzerland, named Manon Bannerman secured the sixth rank in the final round of the globa; auditions.

An Indian-American musician from Los Angeles named Lara Rajagopalan was ranked second in the final round. She also featured in Michelle Obama's Global Girls Alliance campaign.

Megan Meiyok Skiendiel is a Chinese-American model from Hawaii's Honolulu. She secured the fifth rank during the global auditions final results.

Last but not the least, Daniela Avanzini from Atlanta, Georgia and LA, was ranked third in the final round. She is a ballroom dancer, model and an actress. She even appeared on shows like Super Kids Europe, America's Got Talent, and So You Think You Can Dance?

HYBE's collaboration for new girl group

HYBE has collaborated with Universal Music Group company Geffen Records for the debut of the international girl group via global auditions. It has been reported that 21 contestants out of 12,000 candidates were selected to compete in the global auditions. However, only 10 finalists were shortlisted to fight for the debut spot in the final round.

The six new members of KATSEYE will begin preparing for their debut and their debut schedule will be soon announced by HYBE in the near future. Also, it has been reported that the entertainment company will release a documentary on Netflix depicting the growth of the member's and their personal stories. However, that would release next year.
