OneTwo’s Oh Chang Hoon dies at 47 after battling cancer, fellow band member mourns his passing

Oh Chang Hoon, a member of the hip-hop duo OneTwo, died on Tuesday at the age of 47. The singer lost the battle with stage 4 colon and neuroendocrine tumours and passed away while receiving treatment. Alongside Song Ho Bum, he was a member of the JYP Entertainment group OneTwo.

Song Ho Bum extend condolences to Oh Chang Hoon’s family 

On the same day, Song Ho Bum, a fellow group member, expressed his deepest sympathies and shared his recollections of Oh Chang Hoon. Song Ho Bum said in a Sports World interview, “Chang Hoon recently underwent the 8th round of cancer treatment and was getting better, so we had hope… Neuroendocrine tumours are a rapidly deteriorating disease. His health weakened over the past month, and he passed away while focusing on treatment.”

Song Ho Bum expressed his profound love and respect for his deceased friend and musical partner by saying, "I hope Chang Hoon is no longer in pain." Remind Taeyang (Oh Chang Hoon's son) not to worry. I was happy to make music with my brother".

Oh Chang Hoon’s funeral details

Oh Chang Hoon's funeral service will take place in the Soonchunhyang University Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 7. The burial will take place at Seongnam Crematorium after the funeral, which is set for the 16th at 10 AM.

Oh Chang Hoon made his musical debut in 2003 under JYP Entertainment. He belonged to OneTwo, a K-pop duo. The pair collaborated on successful songs like Now, Hips and Thump Thump with Song Ho Bum. The K-pop singer went on to write songs for the OSTs of K-dramas and became a DJ. Oh Chang Hoon wed his girlfriend in 2019. The two of them have a son together.
