YG Entertainment’s new girl group BABYMONSTER is scheduled to debut later this month. However, ahead of their first single release, a member of the band has bid goodbye to the group and the agency. YG Entertainment issues statement
YG Entertainment issued a statement on Wednesday that said, “BABYMONSTER will be debuting as a six-member group with Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita. After careful discussion, it was decided that Ahyeon, who prepared together [with BABYMONSTER], will be focusing on getting rest for the time being due to health reasons.”
Although YG Entertainment regretted that Ahyeon was unable to make her BABYMONSTER debut, they stressed that the artist's health was taken into consideration when making this decision. The agency promised to support Ahyeon no matter what it took to ensure that she recovered completely and could eventually return to the industry in good health.
YG Entertainment has officially confirmed that BABYMONSTER will debut as a six-member group, following the announcement regarding Ahyeon. Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita are in the lineup.
Fans can speculate that even though Ahyeon won't be making her debut with the original lineup, she might eventually rejoin the group. Fans were surprised by this turn of events considering how well-liked Ahyeon was as a trainee. They are saddened by her departure because of the notable comparisons she has received to BLACKPINK's Jennie.
