Nithya Menen starrer web series Kumari Srimathi will be making its OTT debut on Prime Video on September 28. Ahead of its release, the teaser of the show was released by its makers on Wednesday. It featured Nithya portraying the role of a strong, entrepreneurial woman.

Kumari Srimathi depicts today's modern woman

In the teaser, Nithya plays an entrepreneur who is harassed by an old woman on an occasion to get married soon. "Siri, your younger sister is getting married, when will you invite us to your wedding?" the woman asks. Later, it is revealed that Siri (Nithya) is quite picky about marriage proposals, rejecting NRI relationships and preferring Delhi-based boys.

Praneeta, who plays her friend, advises her to restrain her temper because it will negatively impact their business. Siri is the proud owner of a catering business, and she lashes out at the old woman near the end of the teaser. "Papayamma died the other day, When is your turn?" she says.

Kumari Srimathi will have seven episodes, each lasting 40 minutes and providing an intriguing and immersive viewing experience. The music of the show is composed by Staccato and Kamran and the cinematography is by Mohana Krishna. 

The ensemble cast of Kumari Srimathi features Nirupam, Gautami, Thiruveer, Talluri Rameshwari, Naresh and Murali Mohan in significant roles. The series is produced by Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner of Early Monsoon Tales, a web division of Vyjayanthi Entertainment and Swapna Cinema.

Kumari Srimathi is ready to make its OTT debut on September 28, providing spectators with an enjoyable experience in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
