While he may be stepping away from directing feature films, Alphonse Puthren pledged to stay creative. He stated, "I will continue doing songs and videos and short films and maximum on OTT. The filmmaker expressed his apologies for his health condition as he had this issue from childhood. He believes that this might be the reason for the delays in his film projects. The post quickly gained traction on social media, but to the surprise of many, Alphonse Puthren deleted it shortly after sharing it. However, screenshots of the post have been widely circulated, leaving fans concerned and curious about his future endeavours.

Alphonse's journey in the industry

Alphonse Puthren's directorial journey began with Neram, starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya. The film not only earned rave reviews but also marked his entry into the Tamil film industry. However, it was Premam that truly catapulted him to fame, with the Malayalam film running for over 200 days in Chennai. While Alphonse had announced an exciting collaboration with Fahadh Faasil for Paatu, the film never came into existence.
