Mohanlal shares Neru poster, actor looks intense in Jeethu Joseph's legal drama opposite Priyamani

Popular Malayalam star Mohanlal's legal drama Neru has turned out to be the most-anticipated film of 2023. The excitement rose further as fans were treated to the riveting tale of legal drama on the big screen as the team shared the film's poster on X (formerly known as Twitter). The release date of the film was also confirmed along with the unveiling of the new poster.

Sharing the film's new poster, Mohanlal wrote, "Releasing worldwide on December 21st!." The poster featured, Mohanlal and Priyamani in an intense and serious look. The dynamic actor wore a black kurta with spectacles while the actress was seen lost in deep thoughts in her traditional attire.    

Another poster was shared on November 28. The poster was shared by the actor on his Instagram account. The poster simply featured Mohanlal dressed up as a lawyer as he donned a black coat on top of a white shirt. Wearing glasses and sporting a full beard, the actor’s dress, however, looked less like an attorney and more like a judge, which stoked fans' curiosity even further.

Neru is Mohanlal's fifth collaboration with Jeethu Joseph. The Indian actor who primarily worked in the Malayalam cinema has worked in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Telugu films.

The star cast includes Mohanlal, Priyamani, Anaswara Rajan, Mathew Varghese, Kalesh Ramadevi, Siddique, Nandu, Dinesh Prabhakar, Sankar Induchoodan and Kalabhavan Jinto.

The film's crew includes Satheesh Kurup as cinematographer and VS Vinayak as editor. Mohanlal has worked with Jeethu Joseph in several films before such as Aadhi, the Drishyam franchise and 12th Man. Apart from that, the two will also be working together in the upcoming action-thriller Malayalam film Ram, which will release sometime in 2024.

Mohanlal was last seen in Jailer in a special appearance. The megastar will next be seen in actor-producer Vishnu Manchu’s epic film Kannappa, while Jeethu Joseph last directed the acclaimed mystery-thriller film Kooman in 2022.
