Nithya Menen talks about the process of acting: It's more about intelligence than talent
Nithya Menon's OTT movie Kumari Srimathi began streaming on September 28, while the family comedy Masterpeace is slated to have its OTT premiere on October 27.
Actress Nithya Menen recently spoke at length about her approach to acting as well as her criteria for choosing films that are off the beaten track. The O Kadhal Kanmani actress was promoting her upcoming series Masterpeace where she talked about these subjects.

Acting is more about intelligence than talent, says Nithya Menen
Menen’s upcoming OTT series Masterpeace will soon premiere on Disney Hotstar. Menen was speaking to online portal Pinkvilla when she was asked about handling such diverse characters like Shobana in Thiruchitrambalam to Srimathi in her latest movie. In response, Nithya Menen matter-of-factly stated that it’s her job to bring life to characters of all kinds.

While answering the same question, Menen spoke at length about how, contrary to the popular perception, acting is more to do with intelligence than talent. Menen added, “I don’t see it as a talent, but as certain intelligence that some people have. This is one kind of intelligence which makes it possible for you to understand so many different kinds of characters or what they are going through.” Menen further credited her sense of empathy and observation skills that help her bring authenticity to her performances.

I didn’t even hear the Masterpeace script, says Menen
Menen also spoke about her upcoming project Masterpeace, and what compelled her to say yes to the offer. Menen elaborated, “The minute I even heard - In fact, I didn’t hear the script when I said yes, I actually heard just the idea, and just that idea was enough for me to say let me do this, because it was such a cool, different, unique take on comedy.” Menen further said that she needs to do different things also to keep herself entertained and engaged in her work all the time.
