Mammootty celebrates Onam on the sets of his film Bramayugam | WATCH

Onam is one of the most sacred and holy festivals celebrated across Kerala and other Southern states with much fervour. Recently, the spirit of the auspicious festival infused the sets of the film titled Bramayugam, starring Mammootty. The actor celebrated the occasion by hosting a traditional Onam feast on the set.

Mammootty serves Onasadhya in viral video

A video of Mammootty has gone viral on social media wherein he can be seen serving Onasadya, a traditional Onam feast, on the sets of his film Bramayugam. He was seen serving food to his crew on banana leaves and greeting them on the joyous occasion. Not just that, he also interacted with everyone while serving Onasadhya and commemorated the auspicious festival.

For the unversed, Onasadhya is a grand meal served on banana leaves as a token of offering to the spirit of King Mahabali and Vamana. 

What we know about Bramayugam

A few weeks ago, Mammootty announced that he has signed a new project titled Bramayugam, which is helmed by Rahul Sadasivan. The movie is bankrolled by producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra of Night Shift Studios. A statement from the makers called the movie "a rooted story set in the dark ages of Kerala." 

The film will also be featuring Sidharth Bharathan, Arjun Ashokan, and  Amalda Liz opposite Mammootty in prominent roles. The film will reportedly be shot in Ottapalam and Kochi. Christo Xavier will compose the music while Shafique Mohammed Ali will handle the cinematography. The movie is all set to hit the theatres in early 2024 in multiple languages.
