Naga Chaitanya is all set to team up with director Chandoo Mondeti for the third time. Tentatively titled NC 23, it is the Telugu actor's 23rd film. The much-anticipated project is being produced by Bunny Vas under the banner of Geetha Arts.

Naga Chaitanya visited Andhra Pradesh village for groundwork

Recently, to prepare for their ambitious venture, Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti recently  visited the K Matchilesam village in Srikakulam to spend quality time with the fishermen families. This endeavour was undertaken to gain an in-depth understanding of the local culture and lifestyle since Chaitanya is reportedly playing a fisherman in the film.

 

 

Naga Chaitanya, Chandoo Mondeti talk of NC 23

In a media interaction, Naga Chaitanya expressed his excitement about NC 23 and his collaboration with director Chandoo Mondeti again. He shared, "Chandoo narrated the storyline six months ago, and I got very excited. He has based the story on real incidents, and both Chandoo and producer Bunny Vas have dedicated two years to work on the project, which is truly inspiring."

Talking of their visit, the Love Story actor said it was to "understand the lifestyle, body language, and the texture of the fisherman community." He added that the film's pre-production work "has begun today."

 

Meanwhile, Chandoo Mondeti said, "The story is inspired by a real incident that took place in 2018, and it was brought to us by a local guy named Karthik. After working on the script for the past two years, we are pleased with the outcome." The director, who has worked with Chaitanya in Premam (2016) and Savyasachi (2018), added that the actor "is equally excited about the story, and we wanted to start the pre-production in the same location where the incident occurred."

The film is said to revolve around a young man who hails from a fisherman community in a small town of Andhra Pradesh. The shoot of the film will start by the end of the month.
