NC23 gets its leading lady

This yet-to-be-titled film marks the third collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti, following their previous successful ventures after Savyasachi and Premam. The news was met with enthusiasm by fans who fondly remember Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's last collaboration in the 2021 hit movie, Love Story.

The production house revealed, "The beautiful and talented @Sai_Pallavi92 joins the voyage of #NC23. Pre-production is in full swing. Shoot begins soon." This announcement has left fans eagerly awaiting more details about the film.

Naga Chaitanya's preps for fisherman's role

Sources close to the project indicate that preparations for NC23 have already begun, with Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti visiting the K Matchilesam village of Srikakulam. Their visit allowed them to immerse themselves in the culture and lifestyle of the fisherman community, which plays a crucial role in the movie's storyline. Naga Chaitanya's character is said to hail from the community in a small town in Andhra Pradesh. 

Speaking about the project earlier, Naga Chaitanya expressed his excitement, emphasising that the film is based on true events. He also mentioned that the rigorous preparation for the film helped him understand the nuances of a fisherman's way of life and the rustic charm of the village.

What's in store for Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi?

Besides NC23, Naga Chaitanya is set to make his web series debut with Dootha, directed by Vikram Kumar. The series features a star-studded cast, including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Prachi Desai.

On the other hand, Sai Pallavi, the actress known for her roles in Premam and Love Story, also has multiple exciting projects lined up, including a biographical drama alongside Sivakarthikeyan in Rajkumar Periasamy's SK21.
