Sonam Kapoor's husband Anand Ahuja sent a legal notice to a content creator, Raginyy, after she roasted the actress in one of her YouTube videos. Apart from taking a dig at her past interviews, Raginyy also praised the actress for her acting skills. However, Anand Ahuja sent a legal notice to the YouTuber expressing his displeasure over the negative comments made about his wife Sonam Kapoor. Soon after the news surfaced, netizens took to their social media handles to react to the controversy.

Netizens react to Sonam-Anand's legal action against YouTuber

After Raginyy reacted to Anand Ahuja's legal notice, netizens on Reddit began to back the content creator amid the controversy. For the unversed, the notice began with the couple's business background before identifying the brands with which they are involved. It stated that when someone engages in nefarious acts against them, the reputation of their brands is harmed. As a result, they recruited Aiplex Software Pvt. Ltd. as their Online Reputation Management (ORM) solution provider and granted them the authority to neutralise any harm to their image.

Soon after, a social media user on Reddit wrote, "Anand Ahuja the serious business tycoon, from a khandani family of serious business wale log, realised WHO he has married!? And is now using his VAST wealth to scare, threaten and bully an absolute nobody with a few thousand followers into deleting a video."

Meanwhile, another user wrote, "I just watched the video and I'm not able to understand how an actual celebrity can be this concerned about a single YouTube video with 6k views, which is basically just making fun of publicly available statements and videos. Anand Ahuja's legal notice

Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor sent a legal notice to Raginyy that read, "We, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja are fashion entrepreneurs, public figures and licenced distributors of various global brands in India such as Veg Non Veg Bhaane, and strategic partner for Nike stores, Rise in Camp and Converse shoes across the Indian sub continent. Also Mr. Anand Ahuja is the Managing Director of one of India's largest export houses called "Shahi Exports. We are proud to mention that our export business is India's largest apparel manufacturer and exporter and we have 65 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across 9 Indian states, along with a diverse workforce of over 100,000 people."

"Given the rise of our popularity and the brands that we market in India, we are apprehensive that certain individuals with vested interest/competitors have been indulging in nefarious activities to tarnish the reputation of our brands, individual family members etc., and this has a profound implication on our reputation that we have strived hard to uphold. Hence, we have exclusively authorized M/s. Aiplex Software Pvt. Ltd. having their registered office at #91A, N Cube Centre, 3rd Floor, Ideal Homes Circle, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru- 560098 to be our Online Reputation Management (ORM) solution provider to undertake all activities & actions over the internet to engage and neutralize fake profiles created in the names of our family members, illegal rumours, misquote in interviews, photos, comments personal information uploaded on social media, defamatory comments, trolls, concocted stories, gossips, negative news and negative review about our fashion brands and businesses that would be potential targets for sabotage across the internet," the statement concluded.

Raginyy reacts to Anand Ahuja's legal notice

Raginyy shared a post on her Instagram handle, a small chunk of her YouTube video on her reaction to the notice, wherein she addressed the entire controversy. She said, "Her sister is a fashion designer and quite influential and I have a YouTube channel with like 6k subscribers and a video that has 4k views. My dad is a normal army officer, I have no way the resources or the time to fight with these guys." She further added that this is not a "fair competition."

She said, "I am just commenting on the videos that are already uploaded on other channels." Raginyy further shared that Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor sent a lengthy mail, along with a letter of authorization. After reading the first paragraph of the legal notice, the content creator said "Bro is just showing off." "I got like 4k views, you have a 100,000 people working in your company, how are my 4k people hurting you and tarnishing your reputation," she added.
