Aim was to get into psyche of Guru, says Mohit Malik

Mohit Malik plays Guru, a young homosexual man in Chamak. Speaking about his role, Malik said, “I always prepare myself mentally first for whichever role I accept. I understand the character’s emotion which I think is important. The whole job was to get into the psyche of Guru, as he is gay and lives in Punjab, the way he has been brought up in the family.”

Malik also informed that he insisted on holding several meetings with the series’ creative team to discuss the character so that everyone was on same page before they began shooting, while also reinstating that it was a very well-researched role to begin with, which made the process easier for the actor.
