Udal on OTT: Dhyan Sreenivasan's film set for its digital debut, read more details inside

The Malayalam film Udal which was directed by Ratheesh Raghunandan and produced by Gokulam Gopalan, is set for its OTT release following its theatrical debut on May 20, 2022. The horror and drama-thriller feature stars Dhyan Sreenivasan as Kiran, Indrans as Kuttichayan, and Durga Krishna as Shyni.

When will Udal make its OTT debut?

Having secured its OTT rights, Udal is scheduled to premiere on the Saina Play platform from January 5th onwards. Saina Play recently announced the film's release date across their social media channels, sharing an official OTT trailer for the film and inviting audiences to watch it on Saina Movies.

What is the plot of Udal?

The movie's narrative revolves around Shyni and Kiran, her husband who is mostly away for work. However, an unexpected incident during one of Kiran's visits drastically alters the household's ambiance.

Reports are suggesting a Hindi adaptation of Udal, featuring Naseeruddin Shah in the role initially portrayed by Indrans. The director of the original, Ratheesh Raghunandan, is expected to helm the Bollywood remake. Financing for this adaptation is purportedly being overseen by Gokulam Gopalan, the producer of the original film.

In Udal, Indran starred as Kuttichaayan, Dhyan Sreenivasan portrayed Kiran, and Durga Krishna depicted Shiny Chacko. The film's cinematography was managed by Manoj Pillai, with Nishad Yusuf in charge of editing and William Francis composing the music. Ratheesh Raghunandan served as the writer and director with VC Praveen and Baiju Gopalan as co-producers and Krishnamurthy in the role of executive producer.
