The Telgi scam exposed in Part 2

The stamp paper scam came to light in 2003. The released trailer of Part 2 demonstrates the scope of Abdul Karim Telgi's con. Abdul clearly states in the trailer that politicians and police officers are his people. He is heard saying, "Khakhi apni hai, khadi bhi." Telgi is prepared for any changes to the situation as well.

In the trailer's epilogue, Telgi is going to reveal a name as it was seen in the preview that he often recorded the people he interacted with. This suggests that Telgi was prepared to put them all out if needed.

Rise of Abdul Karim Telgi

Telgi was a convicted counterfeiter, who started his counterfeiting career by making fake passports. He then started a business to export manpower to Saudi Arabia and opened a company.

For the same, he used to create several fake documents that would facilitate labourers’ smooth passage at the airport even if their passport had an emigration check required stamp or other issues that could raise red flags for immigration officials.

Telgi moved to more complex counterfeiting when he began to counterfeit stamp paper. He appointed 300 people as agents who sold the fakes to bulk purchasers, including banks, insurance companies, and stock brokerage firms. Scam 2003 The Telgi Story, the first part of which premiered on September 1, will now conclude its tale on November 3.
