A report in Pinkvilla indicated that Ashok Selvan and Keerthi Pandian could be on the path to matrimony. According to the source, there are constant chatters suggesting a wedding set in Tirunelveli. Reportedly, their event will take place on September 13. The rumoured couple is believed to be opting for an intimate and private ceremony. In addition to the speculated wedding, there are whispers of an ensuing wedding reception in Chennai. Reportedly, the reception will play host to several members of the film industry.

As mentioned, Ashok Selvan and Keerthi Pandian will share screen space in the film Blue Star. It will be produced by Pa Ranjith. This venture marks S Jayakumar's directorial debut and will bring the duo together in the drama centered around cricket. Aside from them, it co-stars Shantanu Bhagyaraj.

Ashok achieved massive success with Por Thozhil, which also starred R Sarathkumar and Nikhila Vimal. The film was directed by Vignesh Raja. Keerthi, on the other hand, has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. The actress received critical acclaim for her performance in films like Anbirkiniyal.
