Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD shoot continues amid rumours of Salaar postponement

Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most anticipated films in the coming time. Set in the dystopian future, the film caught attention after its sleek teaser was launched at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 20. The movie is headlined by Prabhas, who also plays the protagonist in Prashanth Neel directed Salaar. Though reports suggest that Salaar has been postponed, fans of the actor have a reason to rejoice as Kalki 2898 AD shoot seems to be on track.

As per media reports, Prabhas starrer Salaar, which was scheduled to release on September 28, has been pushed to a later date. Though the official reason for the postponement is not revealed yet, reports suggest that post-production work on it is not yet finished. Consequently, the film might not hit the big screen as scheduled and may opt for a later date.

Amid speculations of Salaar delay, Prabhas’ other movie seems to be on track. Disha Patani, who plays a pivotal role in Kalki 2898 AD, shared a set picture. In the monochromatic image, a flashing banner that read Project K could be seen. Kalki 2898 AD's working title was Project K.  

Kalki 2898 AD to release in six languages

Kalki 2898 AD is written and directed by Nag Ashwin. The science fiction film is a pan-India movie, scheduled to release in 2024. The film will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and English languages. It should be noted that Kalki 2898 AD is reportedly planned as a 2-part series. While the first film will introduce the characters and establish their place in the universe, the second film will dig deeper into the world of Kalki and will introduce new elements.
