Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun's new look surfaces, National Award winner calls it his biggest film

Allu Arjun recently became the ‘pride of the Telugu people’ after becoming the first Tollywood actor to win the Best Actor honour at the National Film Awards. He subsequently won the award for his role as the titular character in Pushpa. The 2021 film made him a global icon. Meanwhile, the actor's new look from Pushpa 2 was revealed in a new video shared online.

Allu Arjun takes fans to Pushpa 2 set

Allu Arjun’s rugged and fierce look from Pushpa 2 was unveiled in the video. A brief glimpse of Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s work on Pushpa 2 sets could also be seen in the clip. Speaking about Pushpa, the actor recalled, “I’ve done 20 movies almost. Pushpa is my 20th film, and it’s my biggest film by far.” He also pointed out that his family has been in the cinema industry for three decades, and he himself belongs to a film family.

Moreover, director Sukumar spoke about his directorial debut, which featured Allu Arjun. He said that since Allu Arjun was his first hero in Arya (2004), he enjoys working with him in a healthy and friendly atmosphere. “It’s been a long time after Arya, Arya 2, so shooting in this climate of friendship and healthy atmosphere, I really like that before he was my first hero,” Sukumar said as he joined Allu Arjun on Pushpa 2 set.

Before concluding the video, Arjun briefly spoke about Pushpa. He said, "If there's one thing about Pushpa that I really like, it's his never-give-up attitude. There’s always a part of me that’s part of the character. If someone else was playing the character, they would interpret it differently.” Pushpa 2 is eyeing 2024 release.
