Lara Dutta has announced a new web series today (August 13). The actress took to her social media account to unravel the teaser of the same. The show is titled Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond

Lara Dutta’s new show is based on real-life incident 

Lara Dutta who was recently seen in the anthology film Ishq-E-Nadaan took to her Instagram to share a short clip of her new series. The teaser opens with the visuals of several flighter planes chasing each other. The voice of Ashish Vidyarthi narrates, “Ye ek naya runn he, aur ise jitne ke liye ek nayi ranneeti ki jarurat he (This is a new battle, and to win this battle we need a new plan).” The name of the series then flashes on the screen. 

 

The actress also shared that Ranneeti is inspired by real-life incidents. The episodes of the show will steam on Jio Cinema. The series also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ashutosh Rana, Prasanna, Suneel Sinha and others.

Lara Dutta was recently seen in the web series Charlie Chopra. The series is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and was an adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel The Sittafotrd Mystery. The show premiered on Sony Liv and also stars Wamiqa Gabi, Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Patna Pathak Shah and others. 

 


The actress also featured in the anthology movie Ishq-E-Nadaan. The movie was directed by Avishek Ghosh. It also starred Mohit Raina, Shriya Pillonakar, Neena Gupta, Deepika Amin, Mrinal Dutt and others.
