Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been friends for a while now. After shelling out friendship goals at MTV VMAs 2023, the duo went out for a mini getaway. They shared photos from their outing on social media.

Selena Gomez shared two new selfies on Instagram, wherein she can be seen enjoying some outdoor dining with a seaside view with Taylor Swift. Seemingly, they were at a restaurant near the Lavender Haze singer's Rhode Island estate.

In the first photo, the actress-singer is seen resting her chin with her hand on Swift's shoulder. They flashed their warmest smiles while looking into the camera. In the second photo, the Anti-Hero hitmaker turns to the side to kiss Gomez on the cheek, in which the latter also strikes a kissy face. 

"Thas my best frien -she a real bad," Gomez captioned the post, referring to the opening lyrics of  Doja Cat and Saweetie's 2021 collab Best Friend.

Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift's 15-year-old friendship

The longtime besties' get-together comes a few days after the two met at the MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday. Taylor Swift turned Selena Gomez's biggest cheerleader, jumping up and down, cheering and blowing kisses to her best friend as she took the stage with Rema to accept their award for Best Afrobeats for their track Calm Down.

The Grammy winner is also known to be super supportive of her close pal on social media. Recently, she celebrated the latest release of Gomez's first single in nearly a year titled Single Soon.

Earlier this month, Gomez revealed that the close pals always play their music for each other before their official public release. "I play everything for Taylor before it comes out and she was so supportive, so she loved that song. I love her. She's the best," the Calm Down singer said.

Before then, Gomez recounted hearing Swift's song Love Story for the first time and how the Eras Tour brought up old memories for her. "I remember the first time Taylor ever played me 'Love Story' and we were at a hotel room and she said, 'This is gonna be my new song for my new album,'" she said on air with 104.3 MYFM radio station. "Watching the show is so nostalgic and it just feels like I've lived life with her," she added.
