Stranger Things Season 5: Creators Share Sneak Peek Into Final Season's Filming

The wait is nearly over as fans will soon discover the aftermath of rotting flowers and burning fire, as shown in the ending of Stranger Things 4 Part 2. The creators of Stranger Things announced on Monday that filming for the fifth and final season is halfway done. They also shared a behind-the-scenes video of the upcoming season on the show's official social media accounts. Here's the insight.

What’s the drop video about?

The 1.57-minute video features footage from the Atlanta-based sets where Season 5 has been filming for most of 2024, giving fans a glimpse of the action to come.

While the video does not reveal much about the Season 5 storyline, it includes some intriguing visuals from the set. The clip also shows the lead characters Mike played by Finn Wolfhard, Dustin played by Gaten Matarazzo, Lucas played by Caleb McLaughlin, and Will played by Noah Schnapp gathered around a radio.

Another scene shows the group, joined by Joyce (Winona Ryder), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), and Steve (Joe Keery), gathered around an overhead projector.

Old and new faces

Since these characters were separated for most of Season 4, the new footage suggests a big reunion as well. The series will also introduce new actors Nell Fisher, Alex Breaux, and Jake Connelly.

In the clip, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, mentioned that she was 10 when the show started and will be turning 20 by the end of the series, which she finds very strange.

The Duffer Brothers have created the gripping sci-fi horror drama series Stranger Things for Netflix. The show's production teams, Monkey Massacre Productions and 21 Laps Entertainment released the first season on July 15, 2016, which got an excellent response from the audience. 

The subsequent seasons premiered in October 2017 and July 2019, followed by the fourth season's two-part release in May and July 2022. The highly anticipated fifth and final season is slated for release in 2025, marking the conclusion of this popular series.
