Taali star Sushmita Sen pens sweet note for her transgender co-stars

Sushmita Sen is currently gearing up for her upcoming biographical web series titled Taali. In the series, she will be seen playing the role of Shreegauri Sawant, a person who fought for transgender rights. Recently, the actress took to her Instagram handle to share a sweet message for her transgender co-stars in the series.

Sushmita Sen opens up about her transgender co-actors in Taali

Sushmita Sen took to her Instagram handle to drop stills from her upcoming web series Taali. Along with the pictures, she penned a sweet note that read, "The power of inclusion. Thank you for including me." She expressed gratitude to all her transgender co-stars for their love, acceptance and blessings.

Sushmita further added, "Thank you #bubli for cooking me the delicious meals…My dearest #Alizeh, for guiding me throughout the performance…to #silk #bhavika oh the list is endless." The Taali actress mentioned that she had the pleasure of working with all the "gifted" actors. She concluded her note by writing, "It’s not enough to believe in a better world, we must help create it."

Sushmita Sen opened up about her role as Shreegauri Sawant and revealed in a statement that she instantly said yes to the script after being approached by the makers. However, it took her more than six months to come on board the web series.

She further stated, "I knew I wanted to be absolutely prepared, well-read and researched to take up a critical and significant responsibility like this one. Shreegauri Sawant is an admirable human being, I connect with her on so many aspects, and I’m fortunate to have got the opportunity live through her incredible life, through this series."
