However, recent media reports reveal that he has already committed to directing another film post his 50th project. However, an official announcement about the same is awaited.

Dhanush to direct his third film soon?

Musician GV Prakash Kumar, closely associated with Dhanush, spilled the beans in a recent interaction on a YouTube channel. He confirmed his role as the composer for Dhanush's upcoming release, Captain Miller, and shared Dhanush's plans for a third directorial project. This unnamed film stars Dhanush's cousin in the lead role.

Dhanush earlier showcased his directorial prowess with the critically acclaimed film titled Power Paandi. In 2018, the actor was in talks for his second directorial project, which was to be a big-budget movie with a large ensemble cast. However, the film was shelved due to some undisclosed reasons.

What are the recent updates on Captain Miller?

Captain Miller helmed by Arun Matheswaran, is slated for a Pongal 2024 release, with final post-production activities underway. An audio launch event is reportedly scheduled for the last week of December.

Simultaneously, Dhanush is busy in the filming of his second directorial venture, tentatively titled Raayan. Featuring SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Nithya Menen, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, and Aparna Balamurali, among others, this film promises a narrative set against the vibrant backdrop of North Chennai. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the title and the first look.

Captain Miller, a period action-adventure set in the 1980s, boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Shivarajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, Nassar, Vinoth Kishan, among others. Meanwhile, the film is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner.
