Leo actor Madonna Sebastian reveals what she did after news of her 'secret role' in film was leaked

Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Thalapathy Vijay, has set the box office on fire. The film also boasts an ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, among others in prominent roles. However, one name that unexpectedly stole the limelight with her cameo appearance in the film is Madonna Sebastian. She plays the twin sister of Vijay's character, Leo Das, named Elisa Das. The makers had managed to keep her role under wraps during the filming process, and it only became public knowledge a few days before the film's release.

Madonna expresses gratitude after sharing screen space with Vijay

Madonna Sebastian, who made her debut in the Malayalam romantic drama Premam in 2015, has been making a significant impact on the South Indian film industry. In a recent interview with a Tamil channel following the film's release, Madonna expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Vijay. 

She stated, "I consider it a blessing to have had an opportunity to play such a character with Vijay sir. But then irrespective of the length of the character, I would have done it," as per the Onmanorama report.

Madonna also revealed how her role in Leo was a well-kept secret, known only to her mother. She said, "Only my mother was aware of my role in 'Leo.' I hadn’t even informed my friends or close family. But when the news was leaked a few days before the release, I told everyone to keep it to themselves."

Leo marks the third film in the ambitious Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), a creation of the filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. This universe shares narrative elements and characters across his three films: Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo. Meanwhile, Leo has stormed the worldwide box office, crossing the milestone of ₹400 crore in just five days after its release.
