Leo box office collection day 4: Film surpasses Vairsu to become Vijay's highest-grossing film
On Sunday, Leo performed admirably on its home turf, grossing ₹28 crore in Tamil Nadu. It earned ₹8 crore in Kerala and ₹5 crore in Karnataka.
Over the weekend, Thalapathy Vijay's fans flocked to theatres to see his latest release, Leo, propelling the film to become the actor's highest-grossing venture in global collections, surpassing his previous film, Varisu. As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Leo was expected to earn ₹40 crore on Sunday. However, the film outperformed expectations, earning ₹41.50 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹181.35 crore.
Leo becomes the highest WW grosser for Thalapathy Vijay
On Sunday, Leo performed well on its home turf, grossing ₹28 crore in Tamil Nadu. It earned ₹8 crore in Kerala and ₹5 crore in Karnataka. The film had an overall occupancy rate of 80.28 percent in Tamil, 47.77 percent in Telugu, and 21.22 percent in Hindi.
The film also did well on Saturday, earning just under ₹40 crore. Leo has also had a significant global market impact. The film has earned ₹290 crore worldwide and is closing in on the ₹300 crore mark. According to the Comscore global chart, the film debuted at number three in worldwide box office collections for the weekend, trailing Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon and Taylor Swift's Eras Tour film.

The film also debuted at number one in the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Malaysia, and climbed to number eight in North America over the weekend.

After Master, Leo marks Thalapathy Vijay's second collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Lokesh, Rathna Kumar, and Deeraj Vaidy wrote the screenplay for this film. The ensemble cast includes Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy, and Gautham Menon in pivotal roles. In supporting roles, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and others were seen. The film has been performing well in theatres and is also part of Lokesh Kanagaraj's LCU.
