Leo box office collection day 6: Thalapathy Vijay starrer to surpass ₹250 crore mark in India

Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial has made its way to the worldwide box office, beating Leonardo DiCaprio's Killers Of The Flower Moon over the weekend.

Despite garnering mixed reviews, Thalapathy Vijay starrer Leo is standing steady at the box office. Not just in the domestic market, Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial has made its way to the worldwide box office, beating Leonardo DiCaprio's Killers Of The Flower Moon over the weekend. Now, the film is eyeing to cross the ₹250 crore mark by the seventh day of the release in India.

As per the early estimate reported by Sacnilk, Leo has earned ₹31.50 crore in India. The film which opened at ₹64.8 crore has so far minted ₹248.60 crore in the domestic market. Leo had an overall 65.79 per cent Tamil occupancy with afternoon shows recording the maximum ticket sale.

Not just in Tamil, the film is performing well in other regional languages - Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Leo clashed with Bhagavanth Kesari at the box office

Thalapathy Vijay starrer released alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer on October 19, and even in the Telugu version Leo is standing steady at ₹3.50 crore (early estimates). Bhagavanth Kesari, on the other hand, earned ₹9 crore, taking the total collection to 57.35 crore in India, as per a report in Sacnilk. The next day, Leo clashed with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer Ganapath and Ravi Teja starrer Tiger Nageswara Rao on October 20 and outperformed them too.

Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film also features a star-studded cast, including Arjun Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Priya Anand. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, known for his work on Vijay's previous films 'Master' and 'Kaththi.' The film's soundtrack has been well-received by the audience.
