Tamil actor Ganga, famously known for his film Meendum Savithri, dies due to a heart attack

Actor Kayal Devaraj confirmed the news and said that the 63-year-old died due to a heart attack.

Tamil actor Ganga, known for his role in Karaiyai Thodatha Alaigal, died on Friday, November 10. Actor Kayal Devaraj confirmed the news and said that the 63-year-old died due to a heart attack. He debuted in the film industry with filmmaker T Rajendar’s movie Uyirullavarai Usha (1983).

Kayal Devaraj pays tribute to Ganga

On Saturday, Kayal Devaraj took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to pay tribute to the actor. He wrote in Tamil which loosely translates to, "November 11. Ganga (age 63), who debuted as a hero in T. Rajender's film Uyirullavarai Usha died yesterday due to a heart attack." The actor added that Ganga was "unmarried."

As per reports, he lived with his brother's family. His funeral will take place today, November 11, in Chidambaram, a town in Tamil Nadu.

Who is Ganga?

The actor played the role of the second hero in several films such as Meendum Savithri. He has also starred in several TV shows.
