Thalapathy Vijay treated his fans with the trailer of The Greatest Of All Time. The movie marks one of the final projects of the actor before he takes over his political career. During the trailer launch in Chennai, director Venkat Prabhu commented on whether the actor is continuing his acting career after joining politics.

During the trailer launch, the director was asked if there was any chance Vijay would continue working in movies after taking up his political career. To this, he said, "In fact, I asked him if he would balance both. He just smiled and said, we’ll see. It will always be our dream to see him on screen. But he has a dream too—an aspiration. And I think we should support it.”

The director also addressed the criticism over the de-aged look in GOAT and said he wanted to show the second character as a 22 to 23-year-old man. “Vijay sir wanted me to make sure the character resembles him. His is such a familiar face, and so it’s difficult to get used to drastic changes. This was a learning curve for us as well...after the kind of responses we had after fans saw the de-aging in the Spark video, we realised that we shouldn’t experiment more and so we reworked it. That’s also a reason for the delay in the release of the trailer. The de-aged look in the trailer is the closest to the final version that will play in theatres.”

GOAT’s plot centres around four RAW agents whose past actions come back to haunt them, setting the stage for a high-stakes action drama. The film is slated for a worldwide release on September 5, this year.
