Arjit Taneja recently made a cameo appearance in superhit film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He has now shared that he had been down with a viral infection. The actor also provided his fans with an update on his health after falling ill.

Arjit Taneja shares health update

Amid the global rise in Covid cases attributed to the new variant EG.5.1, also known as Eris, Arjit Taneja's health update has raised concerns among his fans. He took to social media and shared that he and his family members have been affected by a contagious fever. The actor urged everyone to stay cautious and safe during these times.  

"Down with viral worse than covid. And yes it's highly contagious as everyone in the family has fallen sick too. Be safe," he penned on his Instagram story.

For the unversed, the new variant is reported to be contributing to the surge of Coronavirus cases across the world. The symptoms associated with the Covid variant Eris includes a sore throat, runny nose, blocked nose, sneezing, dry cough, headache, and body pain. Interestingly, fever and breathlessness are not commonly reported by patients diagnosed with this variant, as per doctors' observations.

His subsequent role in the popular show Kumkum Bhagya, alongside Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia, garnered him recognition. The actor remained associated with the show from 2014 to 2016. He further expanded his acting portfolio with appearances in various shows like Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, Bahu Begum, Nath – Zewar Ya Zanjeer, and Banni Chow Home Delivery among others.
