The actress appeared for an interview and recounted a shocking experience that she faced while she was young.

When Avika Gor was sexually harassed by a bodyguard

In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Avika opened up about the incident and revealed that it left her shaken. It happened years ago when she was in Kazakhstan for a show. When it happened first, the actress didn't know but had a suspicion, but when that bodyguard tried to harass her again she held his hand. "I remember someone from behind tried to touch me while I was going towards the stage. The minute I turned back, I remember seeing only the bodyguard, and there was nobody else."

"And I remember the second time; it was about to happen, and I held the hand. It was the same bodyguard," she added. When Avika caught his red hand, the bodyguard asked for forgiveness. So she let her go. "They don’t know how to speak English or Hindi, so I let it go. What more could I do?” Avika concluded.

Avika Gor opens up about dealing with unsettling situations

The Sasural Simar Ka actress said that it is all a matter of courage and explained that if she dared to turn around and give it, then she would have a lot of people by now. She asserted that people who harass are unaware to what extent it can affect women.

On the work front, Avika was last seen in Telugu language drama Umapathi, co-starring Anurag Konidena. This year, she will be seen in the Hindi drama Bloody Ishq.
