Bigg Boss 18: The most anticipated show is all set to premiere today October 6. Ahead of the grand launch, speculations around the potential participants of the show are rife. Several media reports claimed that Naagin fame Nia Sharma will take part in the reality show this year. However, the actress has seemingly shut down all rumours.

Is Nia Sharma in Bigg Boss this year?

Buzz around Nia Sharma participating in the reality show was strong on social media. The speculations were further strengthened when Rohit Shetty confirmed on the finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi that the actress will soon be seen in another reality show. However, there is no confirmation about the same from the actress.

On October 6, Nia Sharma took to her Instagram stories to refute rumours of her Bigg Boss house. She wrote, “To all the fans and well-wishers I have disappointed - truly been overwhelmed for the tremendous support, lovee and crazy hype! Almost made me want to go inside the house for once. Made me realise what I have earned in the last 14 years. Can't say I didn't enjoy the hype and attention. But please don't blame me. It wasn't me.” Fans of the actress have expressed their disappointment with the development.

When does Bigg Boss 18 start? 

The reality show is all set to commence its 18th season. The latest season of Bigg Boss will premiere on October 6. The show will stream live on Jio Cinema and fans can also watch the show on the Colors channel. Daily episodes of the show will stream at 9 PM hereon. Based on the UK show Bigg Brother the reality show will feature the journey of contestants who will live together for 100 days.

While the makers are still to reveal the names of the contestants participating in the show, several names as confirmed participants have already made it to the top of the news. Shilpa Shirodkar, Shoaib Akhtar, Dheeraj Dhopar, Vivian Dsena, Shehzada Dhami, Chahat Pandey and a few other celebrities are expected to enter the Bigg Boss house this year. The prize money this year is expected to be around Rs 50 lakh, similar to previous seasons. Other details are yet awaited.
