Television couple Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy became parents to a boy and a girl on Wednesday. The couple was married for 5 years before being blessed with twins. Days after the birth of the babies, Gautam and Pankhuri made their first public appearance outside the hospital.

In the viral video,  Gautam and Pankhuri can be seen holding their babies in their arms. The actress was dressed in a pink co-ords set while her husband wore a shirt and denim jeans. The two smiled and interacted with the paps as they posed for the camera. Pankhuri said, "Thank you for all the love. Keep blessing our kids. That's all we need." Gautam added, "We need good wishes from everyone."

Pankhuri had earlier announced the news of their twins' birth by sharing a cute card on social media. The card was made in shades of blue and pink, each colour signifying a boy and a girl. The couple welcomed their babies on July 25.
In coordinated posts, the couple wrote, "As we embrace this new chapter as a family of four, we are filled with heartfelt gratitude for the love and blessings showered upon us." 

As soon as the couple announced this, several celebrities including Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Roop Durgapal, Hiba Nawab, Meera Deosthale, Rohan Shah, Bharti Singh, Mohsin Khan and Divyanka Tripathi wished them in the comments section.

Pankhuri and Gautam Rode got married in 2018. The two fell in love while working on Suryaputra Karn. They got engaged in 2017. After this, Gautam shared that he was lucky to have a partner like Pankhuri. She, on the other hand, said that she has found the man of her dreams in Gautam. They have a 15-year age gap between them.
