Shararat Cast Reunion: The main members of the popular 90s sitcom show stepped out for a lunch outing which is now going viral on social media.
Shararat Cast Reunion: On August 7, the cast of the popular 1990s reality show stepped out for a lunch. Photos and videos of their outing have gone viral on social media evoking the feeling of nostalgia amid fans of the show. Several social media users are singing priases of the cast calling them the ‘OG’ and have even demanded for it to make a comeback.
Demands of Shararat season 2 echoes on social media
Shruti Seth and Karanvir Bohra, who played the lead roles in the show - Shararat-Jia and Dhruv respectively, were joined by other cast members for an intimate reunion. Farida Jalal, who played the role of Jia's grandmother and the matriarch of the family, also graced the lunch outing. Addite Malik (Meeta from the show) and Simple Kaul, who played antagonist Pam were also seen at the outing. Their videos are doing rounds on social media.
The cast members stepped out for an informal lunch on August 7. In a viral video, the group can be heard singing the popular chant from the show, “Shring Vring Sarvaling, Bhoot Bhavishya Vartaman Badling”. Seeing the cast members together, netizens took a walk down the memory lane.
A user took to the comment section to write, “90s kid only knows this team”. Another demanded a reboot of the show by writing, “Please remake shararat back we miss it a lot." Another demanded the same and wrote, “Make a real real comeback please 😍 we need good serials”.
Actor Harsh Vasishth aka Raja misses the reunion
Shararat premiered in 2003 and primarily narrates the life of Jia who is blessed with magical powers but has to hide it from her friends. She is a college-going girl who faces the challenges of life and does not want to use her powers as a fix for her problems. Shruti Seth, Karanvir Bohra, Addite Malik and Harsh Vasishth form the pivotal friend group. However, Harsh was seemingly missing from the reunion. The actor took to his social media account to share a video of other actors from the lunch.
Sharing the video he wrote, "When i missed meeting them because of a health problem..…They sent me this missing video 😍" Shararat was loosely based on the American sitcom drama Sabrina The Teenage Witch. The coming-of-age drama went on for three years. It also featured, Poonam Narula and Mahesh Thakur in pivotal roles. The old episodes of the show are available to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar.
