The digital rights of Hi Nanna sold for Rs 37 crore. This surpasses all previous records for a Nani movie and covers over 50% of the total budget.
Hi Nanna, starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur, will make its theatrical debut this Thursday, December 7. Ahead of its release, the makers have reportedly sold its digital screenings right to a popular OTT platform. The film's digital rights have bought at a staggering Rs 37 crore, as per reports.
Hi Nanna to stream on Netflix?
According to media reports, the digital rights of Hi Nanna have been sold for Rs 37 crore. This will likely surpasses all previous records for a Nani movie and covers over 50% of the total budget.
Even though the OTT platform on which the movie will be streamed has not yet been confirmed, speculations are rife it has gone to Netflix. It is anticipated that Nani's film will debut on OTT during the third week of January 2024.
What is Hi Nanna about?
Hi Nanna follows Viraj, a single father, and Mahi, his daughter. When the girl Nani's character is in love with, Yashna (Mrunal), decides to marry someone else, the lives of the father and daughter drastically change.
Nani plays Viraj in the film, while Mrunal Thakur plays Yashna. Other notable actors include Jayaram, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Angad Bedi, Viraj Ashwin, and Baby Kiara Khanna. The director has also officially confirmed two additional special cameos.
The music for the movie was composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, and a few of the songs have gone on to become huge hits, helping to promote the movie well before its premiere. Hi Nanna is made under the production company Vyra Entertainment and is directed by debutante Shouruv.
