Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala's Engagement Causes Rift In Akkineni-Daggubati Families?

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged in a traditional ceremony in Hyderabad on August 8. Naga Chaitanya, 37, and Sobhita, 32, were rumoured to be dating since 2022 after they were spotted on a vacation in Europe. News of the couple getting engaged was confirmed by Tollywood star Nagarjuna as he welcomed Sobhita into the family.

While all seems to going well for the couple, netizens recently discovered that the Daggubati family, which is connected to Nagarjuna through his first marriage with Lakshmi Daggubati, is not following Sobhita on Instagram. Lakshmi and Nagarjuna's son is Naga Chaitanya.

All well between the Akkinenis and the Daggubatis?

A social media post implying that Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati and his sister Malavika Daggubati and Aashritha Daggubati are not following Sobhita Dhulipala on Instagram. They, however, are still following Naga Chaitanya's ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Chaitanya was previously married to actor Samantha from 2017 to 2021. Could it be that the Daggubati family does not agree with Chay's decision to get engaged to Sobhita?

Daggubati family in fact seemingly skipped Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's engagement. The only member present in the pictures from the Daggubatis was Chay's mom Lakshmi, who marked her presence at the festivities with her second husband Sarath Vijayaraghavan.

Netizens had earlier noticed how Rana Daggubati and his sisters were not seen in the family pictures from Chay's engagement. Rumours are afloat about an alleged rift in the Akkineni and Daggubati families, but only time will tell if there is any truth to it.
