Naga Chaitanya starrer Thandel director Chandoo Mondeti talks about Sai Pallavi's role in the film
Thandel director Chandoo Mondeti recently opened up on how Sai Pallavi left him impressed with her commitment to the character in the film.
The makers of Thandel recently hosted a muhuratam ceremony in Hyderabad, launching the film. The Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer will reportedly be commencing shoot post December 15. Director Chandoo Mondeti has now shed light on the role being essayed by Sai Pallavi in the film.
Chandoo Mondeti sheds light on Sai Pallavi's Thandel role
Chandoo Mondeti, director of Thandel, recently opened up about his upcoming film. Specifically referring to Sai Pallavi's role in the film, Mondeti presented the character as a complex part of the film with depth. A media interaction saw him reveal how the actress will be playing a rustic woman from Srikakulam.

He said, "Her character is deeply in love with Naga Chaitanya’s character, but she is also stubborn about her rights, and also very fierce at times." Mondeti also additionally shared how Sai Pallavi has been involved in a special workshop so as to perfect her Srikakulam dialect. Not just this, he also commented on how Sai Pallavi's commitment to the role and the film, particularly her efforts to get under the skin of the character, has left him impressed.
Team Thandel is currently in the midst of prep
The muhuratam ceremony for Thandel saw the entire cast and crew of the film come together to commemorate the moment. Film lead Naga Chaitanya, who will be essaying the role of a fisherman who crosses the international maritime border, opened up on the extensive work that has gone into prepping for their respective roles.

Naga Chaitanya said, "We have been travelling with the script for one and a half years. I enjoyed each step of the pre-production process. The work happened collaboratively, starting from interacting with the locals in Srikakulam. We worked on Srikakulam slang. I haven't had this much of an elaborate planning for any of my previous movies. I enjoyed the process."
