The UK distributor for Leo, Ahimsa Entertainment, revealed in a post that Leo has become the most successful Kollywood film in the UK. With a video linked, they wrote on X, “VATHTHIKUCHI ILA ERIMALA MAVANE! With STILL 19 days left, LEO's advance ticket sales have SHATTERED the Day 1 record for Tamil films in the UK!” They further wrote that their next goal for Leo is to become the highest opening Indian film of all time.

Leo tops the list of Tamil films with highest pre-release sales in the UK

Leo, with 19 days to go, has surpassed the likes of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan films, Rajinikanth’s Jailer, and Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast. As per Koimoi, Leo has made £250,520 so far, while Ponniyin Selvan 1 maintains a UK lifetime haul of £250,012. Ponniyin Selvan 2 stands in the third position with £228,472, Jailer in fourth with £222,777, and Vijay’s own Beast is in the fifth spot with £203,186.
