Varun Tej-led pan-India film titled Matka, first look poster out

Telugu actor Varun Tej is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming spy-thriller Gandeevadhari Arjuna. The Praveen Sattaru directorial features Tej as a gun-wielding agent. However, details about his big-budget pan-India film, previously titled VT14, have also been revealed by the makers. 

3 things you need to know: 

• VD14 was announced recently. It will be directed by Karuna Kumar. 
• Gandeevadhari Arjuna was previously titled VD12.
• The title for VD13, which is currently under production, has not yet been announced. 

What’s the title for VD14?

The title of VD14 has now been revealed to be Matka. A new poster for the film was revealed as well, in which an old car could be seen resting on the older rupee coin. A temple of sorts of rupee notes was also seen in the teaser poster.

From the looks of it, the poster has suggested that VD14 will be a period film and will revolve around money.  

Gandeevadhari Arjuna: Varun Tej's next to release in August

Varun Tej is set to appear in the action-spy thriller film Gandeevadhari Arjuna, where he will be seen alongside Sakshi Vaidya and Vinay Rai. The film will feature him as an action hero as he deals with extreme missions that will help in saving the world. Gandeevadhari Arjuna was shot extensively overseas in Budapest, Hungary and the United Kingdom. The trailer for Gandeevadhari Arjuna had an intense tone, which develops plenty of intrigue. An action-packed montage of scenes then plays out. It showcases shootouts and hand-to-hand combat between Varun and other characters. 

Varun Tej’s Gandeevadhari Arjuna is then introduced holding an assault rifle in his hands. Sakshi Vaidya's character also appeared to be gearing up for the same mission as Arjuna as they try to suppress a conspiracy that threatens the peace in India.

The action takes place on a moving train, at a football stadium and at the headquarters of international politicians. It should be noted that the film will release close to the actor's marriage with Lavanya Tripathi.
