Vijay Antony's old video goes viral

An old video featuring Vijay Antony speaking out about suicide has resurfaced on the internet and has been doing the rounds of social media. In the video, Antony shared his own experience grappling with his father's suicide, who passed away when he 7 years old. He touched upon the topic of suicide among children as well, advising parents to not burden them with studies and allowing them time to breathe. He also addressed suicide among adults, asking them to love and respect themselves.

In the video, Antony said, "My father took his own life when I was 7 and my sister was 5. I have seen how difficult it was for my mother after that and the hardships she has gone through." Speaking about suicide in children and adults, he said, "They are sent to tuition immediately after school. Remember you aren't even giving them time to think. Please don't do that. Allow them some time to be free. As for adults, I want them to love themselves rather than be obsessed over wealth and success."

Vijay Antony's teenage daughter found 

As per a PTI report, Vijay Antony's daughter Meera was found hanging in the room at her Teynampet residence. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. Meera had reportedly been dealing with depression and was also receiving treatment for the same. Police are currently conducting an investigation into the case.
