Vijay Varma roped in to play antagonist in Suriya, Sudha Kongara's film?

Suriya has been gearing up for his big-budget film Kanguva, based on an ancient warrior in a seemingly Viking-influenced world. After his appearance as the main villain of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, he will also be working with Lokesh Kanagaraj for his standalone Rolex film. However, before that, he is gearing up for Suriya 43. As per reports, a face from Bollywood is being introduced to the film's cast.

Suriya 43, which is touted to be a gangster thriller, is currently in pre-production stage. Though the makers have remained tight-lipped about the plot and the cast, reports suggest Nazriya Nazim Fahadh has been roped in to play a pivotal role in it.

If the reports are to be believed, Suriya 43 will mark Nazriya Nazam's comeback to the Tamil industry after the 2014 film Vaayi Moodi Pesavum. The film is reportedly going to feature Dulquer Salmaan, Ajay Devgn and Rakshit Shetty.

Vijay Varma in Suriya 43?

As per reports, Lust Stories 2 actor Vijay Varma is going to appear in Suriya 43. Moreover, the actor will play the role of the prime antagonist in it. Vijay has earned praise for his villainous roles in Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dahaad and Alia Bhatt's Darlings. If he is indeed part of Suriya 43, the movie will give him another chance to showcase his range.

Suriya 43 will reportedly go on the floors in October, later this year. During an interview with Tamil magazine, Sudha Kongara opened up about the upcoming film and revealed that Suriya would appear in it in a never-seen-before avatar.

"My next project is more challenging when compared to Soorarai Pottru. It is a big-budget film, but it is not a biopic. It is a movie that you all will love. I think it is my passion project, and Suriya is also equally excited about it," the director, who has worked with Suriya in Soorarai Pottru, said.
